One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. Another individual was rushed to the emergency department at a nearby medical center, but there was no further information on that person's status or condition. It is not currently known what caused the crash.

It is not yet clear who will be held responsible for this fatal auto accident. However, it is entirely possible that one of the drivers will be facing charges once the investigation is complete. If this occurs and the driver is convicted, the conviction may help advance any related wrongful death or personal injury claims in civil court.
